Monterosso al Mare

is one of the most picturesque towns in all of Italy. Located on the Ligurian Sea, Monterosso is the largest of the five Cinque Terre towns.

The community features a number of tourist attractions including a castle, a cathedral and a lovely sandy beach. It also has a wonderfulseaside boardwalk.

For many adventurers to Europe, Monterosso is the departure point for a spectacular 12 km hiking trail that runs down the Cinque Terre coast. It passes through Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola before ending atRiomaggiore at the south end. Hiking the Cinque Terre trail should not be missed!
